Application
EDTA is a chelating agent that can bind with divalent metal ions such as Mg2+, Ca2+, Mn2+, Fe2+. Because most nucleases and some proteases need Mg2+, they are commonly used as inhibitors of nucleases and proteases, and can also be used to remove the inhibition of heavy metal ions on enzymes.
EDTA is used as detergent, blood anticoagulant and complexing agent and pH regulator in electroplating bath.

A1:Under the same alkaline condition, the chelating ability is EDTA (acid)> EDTA 2NA > EDTA 4NA.The solubility of EDTA acid and EDTA 2NA in water is smaller than EDTA 4NA.So according to the PH of using environment and solubility, different EDTA products are required.
