Application
As a metal chelator, SAPP's chemical structure enables it to form stable chelates with various metal ions. The reaction process only combines with the metal ions and does not produce other substances, and only requires filtration at the end of the reaction, thus efficiently preventing metal ions from being adversely affected in the process of water treatment, chemical reaction or food processing. For example, in water treatment, SAPP is able to chelate calcium and magnesium ions, reducing water hardness and preventing scaling problems in pipes and equipment. In the food industry, SAPP can be used as an emulsifier and stabilizer to improve the quality of food by binding with metal ions to avoid discoloration or texture changes triggered by metal ions.
