Sodium chlorate, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaClO3, is usually a white or yellowish equiaxed crystal, salty and cool in taste, easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. It has strong oxidation action in acidic solution, and decomposes above 300 ℃ to generate oxygen. Sodium chlorate is unstable. When mixed with phosphorus, sulfur, and organic substances, they are prone to combustion and explosion when impacted, and are prone to moisture absorption and agglomeration.
